WOLF PACK LOSE SECOND GAME OF WINTER CLASSIC

The North Vancouver Wolf Pack wrapped up the 2023 Winter Classic with a 5-2 loss to the Mission City Outlaws. Mission scored three consecutive goals before JJ Pickell answered with a marker for the Wolf Pack, but North Vancouver could only get one more goal from Corson Penman before falling 5-2. These two teams will play each other again on Wednesday.

(MIS) 9:19 – The Outlaws doubled their lead thanks to a powerplay opportunity. Cooper Crowe scored his fifth goal of the season, with assists going to Cameron Nikaniuk and David Stepputat at the 9:19 mark of the first frame.

 

(MIS) 10:39 – Ryan Elson took advantage of another powerplay for the Outlaws when he scored his third goal of the season. Cameron Nikaniuk earned his second assist of the game on that goal.

 

(NV) 14:22 – JJ Pickell (32) got his team on the board with a powerplay marker with help from Caleb Cruz and Ryan Hunter.

(MIS) 12:05 – Spencer Fowle (6) opened the third period by giving his team a 4-1 lead on an unassisted goal.

 

(NV) 18:57 – Corson Penman (13) made the game interesting when he cut the Outlaws’ lead to 4-2, but North Vancouver couldn’t score after that. David Yoon registered an assist.

 

(MIS) 19:49 – An unassisted goal by David Stepputat (11) helped seal the deal for the Mission City Outlaws.
